This just may be the perfect winter wedding. Nora’s wedding to Brian at The Governor Hotel on the Saturday after St. Valentine’s day was elegant, sophisticated and romantic. Although the forecast threatened storms, the day delivered only a few harmless clouds. Brian and Nora exchanged their vows by candlelight in the Renaissance Room, witnessed by family and friends, some of whom traveled long distances to the wedding.
The glow of the ceremony continued throughout the reception in the Grand Ballroom across the hall. Geranium Lake Flowers transformed the ballroom into a cocoon of loveliness with cascades of white flowers, tulips, candles, sparkling glass and golden up-lights washing the gilt walls and ceiling. It was like spending the evening inside an exquisite Faberge egg.
