Cate and Kyle’s engagement photos

What fun these two were!!! I’m not sure who laughed more this evening, Cate & Kyle or me & John. But certainly we all had a fun time and made some lovely photos together. Cate and Kyle choose the Pearl District as their starting place for our time together. It always takes a while for both us and our couples to warm up to picture-taking, but by the time we made our way to Tanner Springs we were joking and kidding like old friends. My favorite photos in the park are of them cuddling in the tall grass.

Kyle, in particular, wanted to go on the Broadway Bridge. Not only for the views of the city, but also for the great shapes and colors of the bridge itself. I’m so glad they wanted to since we’re pshcyed with the color and the mood on the bridge. I don’t think any of us expected how windy it would be up there. Cate had her own personal wind machine to make her hair look fantastic.

I think we timed our shoot just right, since the last two photos were almost too dark to shoot. Kate was chilly and had her arms crossed tight. I love those last photos of Kyle with his arms around her in front of the bridge.
