Holding hands and smiling the whole time, Anne and Steven married on the flank of Mt Hood. In the golden light and late October breeze, they said their vows to one another high up on the slope of the grandest mountain in Oregon.
Steven and Anne flew in from Tennessee to marry in the rustic and romantic setting of Timberline Lodge. Steven is an experienced climber and recalled beautiful Mt Hood from an earlier trip. I think it’s the perfect setting, intimate yet grand, to begin a new life together.
As you’ll see in the photos, Steven and Anne following the legendary Pacific Crest Trail up the side of the mountain to the exact spot where they joined hands–and lives–as the sun turned golden in the sky. As I think back on the afternoon, I can’t shake the thought that they walked up the mountain as two–and walked back down as one.
Thank you, Steven and Anne, for letting us be along on this lovely, private and important day. Anyone who sees your photos will know, straightaway, what your love means to one another. Congratulations on your wedding and best wishes for your life together.
